 VIUX Webhosting Review After 3 Years

Hello BBB Online,
I wish to file a formal complaint against VIUX webhosting with your BBB Online accreditation service.
I put 6 clients on VIUX and I had to move 4 of them last week since VIUX has decided not to honor their 99.99% uptime guarantee along with providing anything close to stable webhosting. I have logged over 30 trouble tickets for these 6 accounts over the past two years and the problems that VIUX created by changing the setup of their server constantly or simply dropping the email, cgi, ftp and other services all together completely disabled the client websites over and over again and this cost me and my clients hundreds of dollars. Choosing VIUX webhosting was my worst nightmare because after 6 months they started changing sever settings which would break the websites, or simply stopped providing the service altogether. An example would be htrealty.ca and wrm.bc.ca where one day I would wake up to 10+ emergency messages on my machine where VIUX had simply deleted all of my clients email accounts without notice. You can imagine how much of a problem this was for both my property rental management companies. I invited VIUX to call my clients to see how much damage that they are doing to my clients when they do things like this but they never did. I have concluded that they don\'t care since it was such a simple and important phone call to make, yet they declined.
Choosing VIUX was the worst website design business decision that I have ever made in my 12 years of website development. I have never met a more ignorant, unprofessional webhosting company other than VIUX who insists on their right to constantly change the website servers and break the website builds in the process. They do not even check to see if what they are doing is breaking websites.
I asked VIUX to refund the current purchase and all previous purchases for my clients since VIUX has not honored their side of the agreement. VIUX has refused to refund previous purchases and is only refunding the balance of the current purchase when I close the accounts. Today I am closing employmentunlimited.com and I have already closed htrealty.ca and whistlersuperior.com. I still have to move fivestarcleaning.ca and fix barneys.ca and smdauto.com. As you can see VIUX has left a path of destruction across a large amounts of my clients websites and this has cost my clients and me hundreds of dollars in design time to fix the website builds to accommodate VIUX constantly changing their server settings or simply tuning off the agreed upon services all together. I remember that last week they turned off the CGI service for some of my clients without notice. So the websites instantly stop working at this point since VIUX is not honoring their 99.99% uptime guarantee as they advertise. The list of examples where VIUX has stopped providing the advertised service is too long to put into just one email and I am both insulted and hurt financially by the lack of reliable and professional service providing by VIUX over the last 3 years. Even now today, I have to spend time fixing barneys.ca and smdauto.com for free since they have stopped working and VIUX will not fix them, so I have to fix them for free since the clients cannot afford to pay me anything additional beyond our original design agreement. You can imagine how much working for free to fix VIUX\'s problems is aggravating me.
At this time I expect your BBB Online service to force VIUX to refund all of the previous purchases that my clients made since they did not honor their advertised 99.99% uptime guarantee. This is going to be a very interesting test of your accreditation service and I await your decision to see what VIUX does and to see if you de-accreditation them if they continue to refuse to refund all of the previous purchases that my clients made.

I run sites with 5 different hosts. Unfortunately, Viux is one of them. They\'re the only one that I have issues with because they do site migrations without notice and these migrations are far from perfect. After a recent one, they restored my site to a version that was one month out of date. They also removed CFMX and my FTP login without notice. On top of that, they never admitted to their mistake even with the proof in plain sight (FTPing to both old & new sites shows different directory structures). They are both incompetent and dishonest. DO NOT HOST WITH VIUX... YOU\'LL REGRET IT FOR SURE!!!Web Production Manager

I have been (still with them unfortunately) with viux for 1 year and while they were okay at the beginning, they are practically horrible now.
If you intend to run any serious applications, forget it (unless its maybe asp), whatever they claim to offer in php,cf etc is all a facade as you still do not end up with required permissions.
